Things that make you go... d'oh!
The (highly paraphrased) scene:
At the rental car place, 11AM, Friday.
Rental car guy: Hi, do you have a reservation?
Me: Yep!
RCG: Name?
Me: (gives name)
RCG: I don't have a reservation under that name.
Me: What?
RCG: Nope, no reservation.
Me: But my husband set it up, we always rent from here. We're supposed to be going to Lansing!
RCG: Well, I have an extra car, you can rent it.
Me: Ok, cool!
...Later...
Me: Honey, they didn't have a reservation for the car.
Hubby: What? I checked it this morning, they should have! Did we get the cheaper rate?
Me: I don't know, I don't know what it was supposed to be.
Hubby: Let me check it again. If it's different, we're going back to get it fixed.
...Later, hubby is at home, checking the reservation...
Hubby: So... yeah.
Me: What?
Hubby: The reason they didn't have the reservation... is because it's for next weekend. The tickets are for the 28th.
Me: D'oh!
We're going out driving anyway, maybe even stay at the same hotel we're staying at next weekend. We'll see. And we'll definitely be better about double-checking calendars from here on out!

We have tickets to go see the Moody Blues on the 31st. We were laughing tonight at dinner - hoping we didn't forget to go. And then checking the tickets to make certain it's on the 31st! We're dangerous...
