Absence makes the heart grow fonder?

Yes, so I realize I haven't posted in a few days.. sorry about that. Life has been crazy, what with the holiday weekend, and trying to cover someone who was out at work for a couple of days, and really not having enough time to do much of anything but eat, work, and maybe sleep. Last night I finally got some relief though, hooray for the weekend! We went out to dinner with my brother-in-law and his wife for his birthday (Mongolian BBQ FTW), and afterwards went home so Andy could go to bed, because he kept saying how tired he was. So I played a little Guitar Hero II. I've been working through Career Mode on Medium, which is hard enough for me.. I'm still getting the hang of things. Anyway, the fun thing for me has been discovering the encore songs, because there aren't any on Easy. I got through all five songs in the last set of songs (appropriately named Face Melters), and managed to do well enough that my audience wanted an encore. But not just any encore, they wanted FREE BIRD! After several screens of confirmations, (like "Only a true Hero can play Free Bird, are you SURE???), the song finally started. I thought I was doing pretty well, until we got past the nice slow lyrics.

To show you all a bit about what I was up against, here's the video of Free Bird on Expert (which I doubt I'll ever manage!!)

Oh I so love that song. I remember when it first came out. I don't know anything about playing games on the web though. Have a great day. :)

I managed to play Freebird on "easy" and that was hard enough, I can't even imagine on "hard"! I did a post on this earlier this summer when I was obsessed with the game - it was a lot of fun but man, I truly sucked when I first started playing!

I love that song. Even this music maestro had trouble with it starting about half way through. I would love to come watch you play it. cool!!

Sounds like great fun (the guitar hero that is). Hope work slacks off a bit for you now! :)

Have a great week.

Watching that for a little while, the way the "light dots" move is the same way keys on a piano would play that! I was moving my fingers with the dots just as if I was playing the piano! Not very well, mind you! Looks like it would be fun!
