I got an award!

I'm a little late in posting this, please forgive me.

The wonderful Naissa, from Naissa's Rage, has tagged me with the Honest Scrap award, which has been searing its way through the WoW blogosphere. I was honestly surprised, and sincerely honored, when I got the email that I'd been tagged. I know a lot of the people who read my blog have been buddies of mine for a while, so for someone I don't really know or haven't had lengthy Twitter/Plurk discussions with, to email me out of the blue and tell me that they really like my blog... well, it made my day. So thank you again, Naissa!

And of course, there have to be rules:

1. When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to the said person so everyone knows she/he is real.
2. Choose a minimum of seven (7) blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have seven friends. Show the seven random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with Honest Weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon.
3. List at least ten (10) honest things about yourself. Then pass it on!

The Honest Things:

1. I love Peeps. I still have to get some this year, hopefully I'll be able to find some on sale. I like to eat the tail end first and work my way up to their heads and beady little eyes. I'll eat any color ones, but I prefer the classic yellow. Yum.

2. When I woke up to my alarm for work this morning, it took me a while to remember that yes, I really did have to get up at 4:30, because my boss decided to take today off to welcome me back to the daily grind or something like that.

3. There isn't nearly as much work here waiting for me as I expected there to be. I'm sure that's because I'm forgetting about something that I need to be doing.

4. My refer-a-friend Priest, Mezzaluna, dinged 58 yesterday. I can't believe she's ready for Outland already when I have three other alts that seem to be stuck in the 40's. Hubby and I are going to get those characters to 60, to make the most of the shared bonus, then we've made new Horde alts over on Cenarion Circle. I've got a troll huntress, and he's got a mage. We'll see how far these two get before our bonus runs out at the end of the month!

5. I'm stealing one from Naissa and mentioning my love of reading. I am almost never without a book, even if it's one I've read three or four times already.

6. I used to have a really serious library habit, but I kept a book too long thanks to a move, and now I'm scared to go back because they want $60 in fines for said book. I could buy like 10 books for that much!

7. In September, I'll have been working at my current place of employment for ten years. The perks of that? I get another week of vacation every year from here on out, and I get a $100 gift card at the Christmas, er... I mean "Holiday" party at the end of the year.

8. Making this list is harder than I thought it would be!

9. I eat my french fries with mayonnaise any time I can get it. This is totally the fault of a friend from high school, who handed me one at McDonald's after a musical practice one afternoon.

10. Yep, I was in musicals in high school. I never had a lead part, I was just in the chorus, but they were all very fun to be a part of. I was in Oklahoma! and Guys and Dolls. I haven't done any theater since, though sometimes I think I'd like to audition for a local production. Then I look at my life and the time I wouldn't have to attend practices, and I remember why I haven't done so.

And... the tags (dun dun DUN!):

Oh my gosh! I thought I was one of the only ones who ate french fries with mayo! A friend of mine from Boston when I was in the Air Force years and years ago got me hooked on that one!

Thank you for passing this one along to me and I will get to it as soon as I can. I'm having some trouble getting back into the whole blogging thing but I'm trying - honest!

Oh my. I like my fries with Mayonnaise too, but I rarely get to enjoy them like that because I rarely get to eat fries. :(

I've had that whole "OMG! Give us a bunch of money in late fees for a book!" thing happen to me too and it prevented me from going to the library for about 6 months, but after 6 months of "Siiiiiiiigh...I miss the library" every time I walked by it, I caved and gave up the monies.

Bleck...I cannot eat peeps.

I turned my alarm off several times before I finally got outta bed. It made for a rough start to the morning.

I eat my French Fries plain. I don't like any condiments on them. But, it's been over a month since I've had one since I'm doing low carb. *sigh*

Thanks for the award. I did the tag a couple of weeks ago here.

I've always eaten chips (which is what we call fries here in England. Your chips are our crisps, incidentally) with mayonnaise. I think that's largely due to my american mother.

But seriously, you guys should hit the Netherlands. Pulp Fiction is right: they eat chips with mayo here. So much so that "frittesaus" is a synonym for mayonnaise.

I'm so late, it's ridiculous!!! But thank you, I appreciate that you still think so highly of me my dear sister Dragon ;-)

Life is kinda hectic when you're starting a new gig, your newborn premie is still in the hospital and your fiance still can't drive yet after the C section (but yet she has soooooo many places she needs to go). But I wouldn't change a thing.

Hopefully when it all slows down a little, I can TRY to get back to some kind of normal blog life again.

Thanks again. I feel special.
