Turkey Day!

Next week is Thanksgiving, and my company, being the nice company that it is, gives out turkeys every year. When I first started we would get ones that were around 14 lbs, this year mine was almost 20! It took some effort to get it out to the car, let me tell you what. I dropped it off at my sister-in-law Sara's house, as she's the one that gets to cook the monster. We have two dinners to go to on Thanksgiving day, I hope I can find the energy to post with all the tryptophan I'll have in my system! My parents are having a small one for us, and then the bigger one with Sara and her parents in the evening. I'll be a pretty stuffed turkey that day myself! Anyone else in this same predicament?

I used to do this three times every holiday. It was a marathon of eating your way through the day. Glad I don't have to do this anymore. Now everyone comes here for the day. Me being the oldest and all. Have a great day. You have a Thanksgiving thank you at my place. You don't have to do anything with it if you don't want to. :)

Uhm .. sadly ... no!

Good luck handling that tryptophan overload!

Well, we don't have Thanksgiving in Australia, so not so much with the turkey. Though I will be roasting a turducken on Christmas, so that might make you feel a little better!

I decided that everyone could come to OUR house since we are the ones with children and I LOVE to cook ;) So my parents and my InLaws are coming over here...I think we have a 20 pound bird too since we usually have a few extra stragglers, friends who don't have "family" nearby. We always end up with upwards of 20 people...

We do my family at lunch and Brien's at dinner...makes for a long day, but lots of good eats! :)

Happy Thanksgiving.
