Road Trip - Day 3
Today is more or less a free day for us, so we're planning on driving around and seeing the sights of the states that surround Connecticut. Hubby and I collect shot glasses, and we've got a pretty good collection going from all of the states and vacation spots we've visited over the years we've been together. This trip we want to add Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maryland, and maybe Maine, if we've got enough time to drive that far without driving the kids nuts with spending time in the car! Eventually we hope to have at least one shot glass from each state. We do have one cheater.. hubby's friend Jenni lived in Alaska for a while, and she sent us a shot glass from there. We both had to laugh at the note she sent along with it, "You can't have a shot glass from somewhere you've never visited, so you'd better come up here!" We didn't make it up there before she moved back to Michigan, but I'd be willing to bet we'll get there someday.

I'm afraid you are stuck with some pretty bad weather while you're here what with Noel blowing a storm up the coast.

My mom collects shot glasses as well. I try to get her one when I go somewhere new. She knows who got her each and every one too! :)
Heeeeeeeeeey, New Jersey is about a 2 and a half hour drive from CT.
Gotta get yourself a Garden State shot glass!
