Phew!

What a weekend! Friday night Bob and Sara came over for the daily walk, but wanted to cut it short. Why? Because they were going to see Transformers! Billy and I tagged along, and I have to say, it didn't lose anything the second time around. It was fun though to not HAVE to pay attention to the whole movie. I got a couple of good giggles out of Sara's responses to different parts of the movie.

Saturday morning I was off to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to pick up a gift for my cousin, whose wedding shower was later in the afternoon. She's getting married in December. The kids tagged along, and it was really a nice time. Good food, good games (I won one!), good overall. Then of course, as soon as I got home I had to check the mail! And there was my copy of Harry Potter waiting for me, as promised. I was expecting the usual brown Amazon box with the logo on the sides, but they had printed up special ones just for this. On the side it read "Warning Muggles, do not deliver or open until July 21!". I have to admit I didn't tear into it and start reading right away. I sat there and looked at it for quite a few minutes, thinking.. ok, there it is. The last book. Am I ready for this? After this one, it's all over.

Of course you all know I read it, if you've visited since Saturday night. Once I picked it up, I knew I had to get through it, and get through it I did! Roughly five hours, give or take a few minutes, and it was done. My brother-in-law and his wife got their copy too, but they're still working on it. I can't wait for them to get done so I can talk to them about what happened!! I brought mine to work with me today to start round 2, reading for detail. :)

Once I was done reading, hubby and I played a little WoW and headed off to bed. Sunday morning was again spent in WoW-land, to help make up for the time hubby had to fend for himself the day before while I was reading! Then in the afternoon I went with Bob & Sara out to see the newest Harry Potter movie. I thought it was good.. the scenes in the Ministry of Magic gave me goosebumps! I think there were a few more book plot points that could have been included, but overall I was satisfied with how the movie came out.

On top of all of this, I seem to have picked up poison ivy at some point. I started itching early last week, and managed to get to the dr. on Thursday. She started me on prednisone, but I'm still feeling miserable today, so I'm going to call back and see if they have any other ideas to help stop the itching while I'm waiting for the bumps to go away. I made a baking soda paste yesterday and put that on, and it felt a little better for a while, but it made such a MESS once it had dried. I may go pick up some calamine lotion after work too, and see if that does anything. Here's hoping!!!

Except for the poison ivy, it sounds like you had a very nice weekend!

I, for one, was glad to find out that there were more Muggles out there than I thought - I was afraid I was the only one!

I'm a Muggles, too. Maybe some day...but I can't let a Dean Koontz pass!
So sorry about the poison ivy! I've never had that, either! My daughter tangled with a jelly fish this week but they had a lotion that worked pretty well.
Get better soon!!!

Try an oatmeal bath if you are still itching.
