Ooog...

I remember now why I always limit myself to one or two drinks with dinner, when I drink at all. My head is killing me.. oof. Still, much fun was had by all last night. Catch Phrase was probably the highlight of the night for me. For those who aren't familiar with the game, it's a word list stored on a disk with a button on the side. You press the button to get a new word. Then you have to get another person to guess what the word is, by using association or description. When they guess it, you hit the button and pass the disk to your left. Then that person has to get you to guess a word. If you're the one holding the disk when time runs out, you get a point. And the idea is to have as few points as possible. We played for drinks, though, instead of points.

There are a couple of words in the game that have awesome family associations. One of them is negligee. I wasn't there when it happened, but I have been told that my brother-in-law Bob got this word, and didn't know what it was.. he was trying to figure it out when the timer stopped, and he said, "What the heck is a negliglee???" Well, negligee came up as one of the words last night, and my sister-in-law's boyfriend got it. Apparently he didn't know what it was either, and history repeated itself when the timer ran out. I think we all laughed for about fifteen minutes over that one.

Besides all that, it's pretty hilarious watching people who are slowly getting more and more tipsy try to be clever in order to get the word guessed as quickly as possible. I think it's safe to say an awesome time was had by all!

Yes, good times!
Catch Phrase is always fun. Playing it drunk was like playing it handicapped!
